Update from the March 20, 2018 School Board Meeting

Superintendent Munoz and John Carlson briefed the school board on the proposed boundary adjustments.

  • They presented five options; the options can be reviewed here.
  • The board moved this to action. Motion approved.
  • The School Board authorized the Superintendent to make no changes for the 2018-2019 school year but begin working on a plan to address the capacity across the district for the 2019-2020 school year.


     

 

Update from the March 14, 2018 School Board Study Session

While no decisions were made during this meeting, the consensus from the school board was to reduce the overall number of students attending Elton Hills and move them to Churchill/Hoover for the 2018/2019 school year. Recommendations on how the district will achieve this reduction will be presented as a briefing item at the March 20, 2018, school board meeting.

     



Update from the March 6, 2018 School Board Meeting

At the March 6, 2018, board meeting, the School Board voted on the approval of Boundary Adjustments effective for the 2018-2019 school year:

The school board will host a study session in the very near future to develop a guiding change document. This document covers the “why”, the “not how”, and the “what”. This study session will occur on Wednesday, March 14 from 4-6 PM.
